Hi, I’m Jay Caboz, a professional photographer and videographer and the founder of Passport South. 

I specialise in African-based storytelling, creating authentic, impactful visuals for brands and publications.

With over two decades of editorial experience, I’ve worked with leading names like Business Insider South Africa, Forbes Africa, and Getaway. I’ve been fortunate to earn recognition along the way, including a CNN Journalist of the Year award.

My work has taken me all over Africa from being chased by elephants in Zambia to photographing some of Africa’s most remote and breathtaking landscapes. These experiences have shaped the way I approach every project — with curiosity, creativity, and a respect for the stories waiting to be told.

I’m passionate about collaborating with local South African brands to create meaningful content that stands out. Whether it’s photography, video production, or telling stories in unexpected ways, I aim to deliver work that makes a lasting impression.
